Martini, Extra Olives... Hold the Vodka.
How Far Along: 9 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: 0 pounds so far.
Maternity clothes: I've bought a few things (or more) but I'm still rocking my regular pants.
Stretch marks: None.
Sleep: Better lately. I still want to take multiple naps a day.
Best moment this week: Talking with Daddy about our baby's future : )
Movement: Too early
Food cravings/aversions: Tropical Skittles! I can't get enough of them. And tomatoes are a hot item too.
Belly button in or out: Still an innie.
What I miss/What I am looking forward to: Working out without feeling winded after 5 minutes. I'm really looking forward to our next appointment on March 8th!
Symptoms: Boobs are huge! Belly is beyond bloated. Face is harkening back to my high school days. Pretty much I feel like an oily, zitty, bloated boob with legs! But it's worth it : )

I'm already a deadbeat parent!
The baby doesn't even have hands and I'm already a slacker. I am waaaay behind on my weekly promised posts. Heck, Mini will be the size of a green olive tomorrow. That's like missing the entire toddler stage in real life!
So we hit a major milestone on February 8th. We heard Mini's heartbeat for the first time! I seriously felt like I was listening to a composer's masterpiece symphony, that's how proud and in awe I was during the sono. It was 132 bpm (beats per minute) which the tech says is right on track for baby's size (at the time 5weeks, 5 days). Our next appointment is on Tuesday, March 8th. This whole waiting game is tough for a nervous nellie like me.
After we heard the heartbeat I felt compelled to make a few, ahem, baby purchases. I actually thought I showed quite a bit of restraint for not going nuts before.
I knew Mini had to have a Sophie the Giraffe chew toy because... well... we just do. I mean, it's a giraffe who "lives" in Paris and is named Sophie. Like it was made to be part of this family : )
I also bought a few gender neutral onesies that were too cute to pass on.
It says "Everywhere a Moo Moo" on the front and the back has an attached tail! I died!
Everyone wants to know if and when we will find out if Mini is a boy or a girl. Yes, we plan to do the anatomy scan but it probably won't happen until the beginning of May. That seems so far off at this point, but then I realize how far we've already come. I honestly can't wait for the 1st Trimester, the "danger zone," to be behind us and then I want to enjoy every minute of this pregnancy!
